In 2017, Queen City Pride made an investment to upgrade our website's Events platform. We are now able to import the latest event information from our Community Partners and present it through an easy-to-use calendar.
Transgender Day of Remembrance, Prince Albert
Sunday, November 19 at 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Join us for the annual vigil as we gather to recognize and remember all transgender and gender diverse people who have lost their lives to anti-trans violence. All welcome, including allies.
The international Transgender Day of Remembrance occurs each year on Nov. 20. This year Prince Albert Pride, Trans Umbrella Foundation and Saskatchewan Pride Network are hosting the event on Sunday, Nov. 19. Our event features a keynote speaker, greetings from local dignitaries and an Elder, the reading of the 2017 list of names to commemorate the lives lost to violence this year, and a closing video. Refreshments and discussion to follow.
