Advocacy Training and Politics with a Drag Queen

Advocacy Training- 5pm @ Q Nightclub & Lounge

Calling all pride organizations, queer affirming teachers and parents, and anyone who wants to learn the tools of queer advocacy and how to show up and stand up for our marginalized communities.

Lead by Victoria Bucholtz.

Victoria Bucholtz holds a doctorate in History and Gender Theory from the University of Calgary. She is an instructor at Mount Royal University in Calgary. She also works in the EDI field (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) for the Queer Education Foundation as a consultant and facilitator.
Victoria is a co-creator of Queer Citizens United, and is the Alberta Organizer for Queer Momentum. She has been awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal for services to Canada (2025), the Western Trailblazer Award (2023) from the Calgary Stampede, the Blaze Award (2025) from the Firecracker Department Society, and named one of the 20 Most Compelling Calgarians for 2025 by The Calgary Herald. An avid mountaineer, performer, and dog mom, Victoria is a passionate advocate for rights for the gender and sexually diverse community.

Politics With A Drag Queen will feature drag performers as well as influential speakers from the local Regina area. (Performers and speakers will be announced leading up to the event)

Karla Marx is the First Comrade of Your Heart! Karla is the mother of the Marx Werk Ware Haus, a board member of The Cabaret Company, and performs drag, burlesque, stand-up comedy and DJs across Canada and the world. Karla won Best Host in Canada (2022, 2024, 2025) from Imperial Burlesque Canada, as well as Most Comedic Burlesque (2023, 2024)
