Financial Support for Grief Counselling

Provided by UR Pride and Queen City Pride

Following the tragic loss of Derek Seitz / Jenny Talia, and many other 2SLGBTQ+ people in our community who have passed away over the last few months, UR Pride & Queen City Pride know that our community is in pain navigating this overwhelming amount of loss. Compounded by an already stressful time in the midst of a pandemic, we want to be sure that all members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community who are impacted by this grief have the resources available to access mental health care.

For this reason, UR Pride & Queen City Pride have put together a small fund to be able to provide people with bursaries of $50 to be able to help cover the cost of a grief counselling session at a provider of their choice. In addition, UR Pride reminds the community that Monarch Mental Health is available for free. For more information, visit

This form will remain open as long as we have funds remaining.
